Good room air is one of the most important feel-good factors for your customers. Because the air we breathe is our most important source of sustenance. An exhaust air solution for the extractor system has advantages in terms of indoor air quality and comfort. With highly efficient products such as the BlowerDoor-tested THERMOBOX® and the wall conduct Flow Star GTS as well as a coordinated concept for the interplay between exhaust air ducting and controlled domestic ventilation, parallel operation of both components is possible. Ventilation system is not an extractor hood

The idea that in energy-optimised buildings only a recirculating air solution is possible for the extractor is a widespread misconception. Rather, the energy balance of exhaust air and recirculated air is largely balanced. Because, with recirculating systems, air loaded with grease, moisture and odours can only be removed from the home through additional ventilation. This was also established by the product testers of Stiftung Warentest. This is achieved either by window ventilation or by a higher performance of the controlled domestic ventilation.

However, there is a risk that grease and dirt contaminate the ventilation ducts and impair their function. Important: during the planning of the ventilation concept, it is important to clarify which components are responsible for cleaning the cooking vapours and which components are responsible for the regular exchange of air.
