COMPAIR® flow – the art of streamline

The more streamlined the air duct is, the more powerful and quiet the operation.

Moving air has its own laws. The higher the volume and the higher the flow velocity, the more important optimum the geometry of the air duct is. Very large volumes of air (up to 650 cubic metres per hour with powerful hoods) should make their way to the outside with as little hindrance as possible.

Long ducts, the wrong material, unfavourable geometries, reduction of the cross section or sharp bends lead to stalls and pressure losses. With the result that the vapour is not extracted as effectively and the cleaning performance decreases. Noise and power consumption, on the other hand, increase.

Guide vanes ensure optimum airflow.
Guide vanes ensure optimum airflow.

In the patented air duct systems COMPAIR® flow and COMPAIR® bion, the air flows energy-efficiently and quietly around the bends. This is ensured by the optimally calculated radii of the pipe bends, a balanced ratio of height to width in the flat ducts and integrated guide vanes in adapter pieces and horizontal bends.

COMPAIR® flow is available as a round or flat duct with a diameter of 125mm and 150mm. 78 to 90 percent less pressure loss compared to conventional bends and deflectors speak a clear language. This means that long routes can also be bridged, whereby the shortest possible air duct is always best.
The result: good extraction of vapour, also at low, and thus quieter ventilator levels.
